Study of space-charge related processes in bunched and continuous electron beams through a cylindrical Penning trap:
a) in ultra-high vacuum conditions and no background plasma;
b) interacting with a radio-frequency generated confined plasma. In particular, study of bunch and beam dynamics in presence of trapped ions and/or electrons.
GOALS OF ELEBEAM EXPERIMENT
The goal of the experiment is the study of space-charge related processes in bunched and continuous electron beams through a cylindrical Penning trap, both in absence and in presence of a radio-frequency generated background plasma.
