6th PRIORITY: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
AND GLOBAL CHANGE
The activities carried out within this priority aim at strengthening the
scientific and technological capacities needed for Europe to be able to implement
a sustainable development model in the short and in the long term, integrating
its social, economic and environmental dimensions, and make a significant
contribution to the international efforts to mitigate or even to reverse current
adverse trends, to understand and control global change and preserve the
equilibrium of ecosystems.
