LNF: PROPOSAL TO SEARCH FOR LIGHT U BOSON IN E^+ ON TARGET COLLISION AT DAPHNE BTF
LABORATORI NAZIONALI DI FRASCATI
Speakers: V. Kozhuharov, M. Raggi (LNF INFN) After the first data from LHC and the absence of new degrees of freedom one of the best places to probe the Standard Model extensions is the understanding the unexplained nature of dark matter. A hidden sector of particles, interacting through a vector mediator with the ordinary one, could possibly explain both the recent positron excess in the cosmic rays and the muon g-2 anomaly. In the present seminar we will describe a proposal devoted to the search for such a new vector particle exploiting the DAFNE Beam Test Facility at LNF. The search will be performed in the e+e- -> gamma U channelm using a positron beam on a thin target. The experimental setup and the analysis technique will be discussed.
