Papaphilippou (CERN) This talk will review the challanges facing the lepton storage rings aiming at ultra low emittance, including light source storage rings, linear collider damping rings and future e+/e‐ circular collider projects. All the issues of lattice design and optimization, experimental measurements, collective effects and technical systems will be described.
