SEZIONE DI FIRENZE
We will present a gravity solution corresponding to D3 and D5 branes intersecting along a 2+1 dimensional subspace. This solution is dual nto 2+1 smeared defects in a 3+1 dimensional gauge theory and can be regarded as a top-down holographic realization of a system with nmultiple layers. We will analyze the thermodynamics and hydrodynamics of the resulting spatially anisotropic geometry, as well as several nother observables of the solution. (Alfonso Ramallo)
