Ask the Lab

Today the web page designed Gran Sasso National Laboratories of the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics becomes active. It can be accessed from the page: http://www.lngs.infn.it, by selecting the option ‘fai una domanda’ (ask a question).

Through this page anyone will be able to ask for information concerning the activities of the Gran Sasso Laboratories. Researchers guarantee that questions will be answered within four days.

The Laboratories decided to introduce this service in order to offer the public an open and fast channel of dialogue with the scientific community. This activity adds to the guided visits of the labs which have been organised regularly during the past ten years. The objective is to give the public a source of information both precise and accurate on the activities of the Laboratories, which conduct international experiments at an extremely high scientific level. These studies can be considered a continuation of the research for which Raymond Davis and Masatoshi Koshiba were awarded this year’s physics Nobel prize.
