Yesterday the competent Court of the city of Teramo has partially admitted the Infn request, allowing the restart of some scientific activities within the C Hall at the Gran Sasso Laboratories. For instance, researchers will be able to resume the preparation of the Opera experiment, aimed at the detection and study of a neutrino beam to be sent from Cern laboratories, located in Geneva, to the Gran Sasso Laboratories. This studies are very important for understanding the processes inside the Sun and, in general, the stars.
Infn, represented in the courtroom by the lawyer Franco Coppi, is satisfied with the decision of the Court, which recognizes the importance of the researches at the Gran Sasso Laboratories. |
