Basic research requires advanced technologies which are often not yet part of industrial know-how and which require innovative solutions. the INFN dedicates attention and commitment to the valorization of the applications that can derive from fundamental research and which can thus represent an opportunity for technological innovation. In recent years numerous Italian companies, especially medium-small ones, have changed their industrial history by entering the supply chain provision of advanced technologies for basic research. To direct, coordinate and plan the institute’s activities in this area he INFN has established a National Committee for Technology Transfer (CNTT).
